On The Couch, and MindOverMatterMondays

On The Couch looks at politics through the lens of psychology.

Each week, for Reaction online magazine, I interview the great and the good from the world of politics, whether that is Baroness Pauline Neville Jones about Russia/Ukraine, Lord Kim Darroch about life as a diplomat, sketch-writer Rob Hutton about Sunak v Starmer, or Judi James about the body language of our political leaders.

MindOverMatterMondays over on Instagram @thelucyberesford1 is where I interview successful, inspiring people, about their career milestones, how they cope when life throws a curve ball, and what brings them joy (or winds them up).

From actors, ballerinas, chefs, illustrators, novelists, campaigners, even a Falklands hero and a Lion Whisperer, I create space for people to share their stories of surviving set-backs or rejection, and bouncing back BIG.

I’ve interviewed Will Bayley who missed out on a gold medal at the Beijing Olympics only to win gold 4 years later in London, England cricket captain Sir Andrew Strauss who set up the Ruth Strauss Foundation in memory of his wife who died young, film director Anubhav Sinha fighting the censors in India, Olympic athlete Tessa Sanderson, Phantom of the Opera star Josh Piterman, and Tabitha Worsley who, despite being only 26, has been one of the few women to finish the gruelling Grand National horse race.
